Description

The HDMIDOWNSCALE is the right tool for homogenous HDMI installations where a composite or S-Video must be derived from the HDMI signal. This downscaled video signals can be recorded or used for distribution for older composite based installations.
The original HDMI signal is availabe at the HDMI output of the unit, so you can put it anywhere in your system and do not interrupt the original structure.
The HDMIDOWNSCALE does not have a dolby digital decoder so it should be noticed that you can only get a analog stereo audio signal if you select 2 channel in the hdmi source setup.
However the SPDIF output at the box will either output 2 channel or 5.1 depending on the source setup.
The HDMIDOWNSCALE can either output PAL or NTSC coded video.
As a plus the box will also accept DVI signal and downconvert them to video so you can record directly PC video.
The unit is NOT compatible with 1080@24p signals.
As usual with HDMI it is necessary that the display supports HDCP if you want to use HDCP encrypted source material.
