The DVIPAL is the essential problem sovler in installation and professional AV rental. Once you have understood how DVI and EDID communication is working you will appreciate what this small device can do for you.
It simulates a display for a PC or any other DVI source and makes it the ideal solution to prevent video loss with DVI switchers and matrix routers. When the DVIPAL is placed between PC source and DVI switcher it simulates a constant connected display and the connected PC cannot detect loss of EDID and hotplug any longer.
Without the DVIPAL you will have to struggle either with very long switching times or complete loss of the DVI signal with the necessity of a complete reboot of the PC.
Even if the PC is recognising the switching and hot plug signal correctly it will take some time before it has resynchronised and rebooted the DVI ouput. The DVIPAL can reduce this switching time dramatically.
The DVIPAL has a learning capability and may either be programmed by any DVI display you have at hand or use our DVIWIZARD.
Programming is as easy as it gets, just plug the display you want to learn to the output of the DVIPAL power the unit with the mains adaptors and in 3 seconds the display EDID information is stored in the DVIPAL.
With the DVIWIZARD can force the DVIPAL to hold only one display resolution, forcing the attached source to display this desired resolution. The DVIWIZARD is only used as a programming device and not necessary for future use.
However in installations with longer cable runs it might be better to use the DVIWIZARD as it can compensate cable runs of up to 60m.
