The HDMIGEN is the first affordable HDMI/DVI pattern generator on the market, yet a very powerful one.
The unit offers 35 HDMI/DVI resolutions and 39 pattern. All common PC and HDMI resolutions are predefined and available in 50 and 60 Hz output modes.
2 audio inputs, one stereo analog and one optical 5.1 SPDIF may be embedded in the HDMI output signal. In addition an internal sine wave generator allows quick check of audio functionality.
All functions of the generator may be remote controlled using the supplied PC software including programming of own test sequences that will run automatically.
The very powerful EDID readout and burn function of the generator will allow you to access the displays EDID information and if not protected even the permanent manipulation of this data.
EDID information of the display determines what output resolutions may be selected in the source device and has proven to be an ongoing problem with HDMI connections.
The HDMI output signal is selectable as RGB 4:4:4, YPrPb 4:4:4 or YPrPb 4:2:2 format.
The 39th pattern is a HDCP verification pattern, that displays the communication data on the screen.
